Kate Craig is an experienced political operative and community organizer with a focus on rural campaigns and rural organizing. She has managed local, state, and federal campaigns. She is a former chair of the Washington County, Tennessee Democratic Party, former Congressional District Chair for the Tennessee Democratic County Chairs Association, was a 2021 candidate for TNDP chair (coming in 3rd out of 10 candidates) and a 2022 candidate for Tennessee Senate candidate.
She also helped found the Tennessee Rural Democratic Caucus and serves on the boards for Planned Parenthood of Tennessee and North Mississippi, Tennessee Advocate for Planned Parenthood as well as for the Tennessee Equality Project.
In 2023, she founded Harvesting Democracy, a PAC that supports state and local candidates running in Tennessee's rural districts.
