Kate Craig began her career in 2003 working for the Girl Scouts of the Appalachian Council, Inc. in Johnson City, Tennessee. Growing up in the Girl Scouts and then working for the Girl Scouts taught her that community is the most important investment we'll ever make.

Her experience with non-profits, the defense industry, owning a photography business, and working with other small businesses given her over 20 years of experience identifying the best strategies to reach a target audience and develop a message that will resonate with them.

Kate is a strategic thinker who will help you set achievable goals that will make your fiscal year a successful one. She can help you create a marketing plan, identifying the platforms that will reach your target audience.

Community building and protecting human rights are a passion of Kate's. She has managed and worked on several campaigns, is the former Chair of the Washington County Democratic Party, former Chair of the First Congressional District for the Tennessee Democratic County Chairs Association, and she ran for Tennessee State Senate in 2022, raising over $105,000 and moving the needle 7 points.

Outside of work, Kate enjoys reading, writing, rescuing animals, cooking, hiking, running, rowing, and learning Spanish. On average, she reads 80 books a year, and has written 8 books-- to be published one day. She completed the NaNoWriMo challenge in 2015, 2021, and 2023. In 2017, she had a poem about her experience with totality from the eclipse published in Poets Reading the News.

In 2013, Kate was in a motorcycle accident that forced her to relearn how to walk and how to be left handed. Now, she runs 5Ks, hoping to build back to a half marathon.

Kate graduated from East Tennessee State University with a bachelor's degree in Political Science, and a minor in Leadership Studies. She also graduated from American University's Master of Public Administration as well as a Graduate Certificate in Women, Policy, and Political Leadership. She also completed American University's Campaign Management Institute.
